XMAS HOLIDAYS IN THE NEW HOME

The last couple of weeks became an unstoppable marathon of packing and unpacking, shopping and cleaning. Yes, we moved house. This time my twin flame and I did it together.

I noticed how easy it is to turn into a couple that doesn't have much intimacy but has a lot of "what else needs to be done" talks. The next thing you know is that you are discussing what else to buy in IKEA when you are lying in bed together. But luckily we are both conscious of it and we help each other to relax and forget about all the hectic things for a while.

The new place is bigger and more modern. It is more suitable for his condition. The first time we saw it, it was still under construction and I could see the potential of making it our home. But when we came to get the keys turned out the landlord took care of all the details, even the candles and cutlery. So the first few minutes I felt like crying: they left no space to make it our own.

But, of course, as soon as they left we carefully removed almost everything into another room and moved furniture around the way we liked it. Now that our stuff is here and unpacked, it already feels like home. We have almost no matching plates but they all have happy colours. Our wall is covered with 2.5 m by 2.5 m world map from the XVI century. The lights are bright and come from a children's department of the shop. Since we have to do bulk shopping near our previous place, there are lots of fruits and vegetables here.

It's funny how small things make us so happy.

Merry Christmas everyone!

GOODBYE OUR LITTLE REFUGE

Just like the song goes "Time to say goodbye...". It's almost Christmas and I am moving to a new place. But there are so many good memories connected to our old home. Our first home together.

For both my twin flame and me it became a little refuge. We found the moments of peace and love here and started being together for real. Nobody knew our address, nobody could find us. We have hidden away from everyone to avoid the pressure, the expectations, the judgements - everything that harms the harmony between two loving people.

It was a beautiful place on a happy street of Amsterdam, probably the best one there is. It was always buzzing cheerfully. Living there felt like the whole neighbourhood was our family and we were an important part of it. We will still come back to buy the freshest fruits, vegetables, and the best foccacia in town.

It is sad to pack, to empty the place, to leave it. But I'm sure the new couple that will live here will take good care of it.

We have new adventures ahead of us and a new place to make our home!
